A young Chinese boy who was born with blue eyes shining stunned medics for their ability to see in pitch black darkness.
Nong Yousui from Dahua, China has eyes that reflect the neon green when the light is shined on them. Doctors have studied Nong amazing eyesight since his dad took him to the hospital concerned for his bright blue eyes . "They told me he would grow out of it and that his eyes would stop glowing and turn black like most Chinese people but they never did ," his father said.
Nong likes to play outside with his classmates, but experience discomfort when in bright sunlight , but can be seen clearly in pure darkness.
To test his abilities, a Chinese journalist has prepared a set of questionnaires, which he was able to finish, sitting in a pitch black room. Tests showed Nong can read and write with absolutely no light and can see as clearly as most people do during the day. According to the World Record Academy ( the leading international organization that certify world records ) Nong even set a world record for the first person who can see in the dark.
In animals, night vision made possible the existence of a thin layer of cells called the tapetum Lucidum. And, as isiamskie cats, Nong's sky- blue eyes sparkle with neon green when illuminated flashlight.
Night Vision Nun has sparked interest around the world, a vision scientists, evolutionary biologists and genetic engineers. And that's good news for science, as we will soon be able to use genetic technology to deliberately create an environment for ourselves.
